What Causes Delayed Periods With Bloating And Abdominal Pain?

I am 18 days late for my period. Lots of nausea, very sensitive to any light (makes me very sick to my stomach), very bloated, and having very intense abdominal pain that comes in waves. I am to the point of not being able to drive when I get nauseated, because the dizziness that accompanies it is so intense. Now, I am pretty confident that I am not pregnant (husband has had vasectomy) and DR appointment is not for a few weeks because they are booked up. I do not know what to do. I am miserable..

well,
first of all , if your periods are late by 18 days, best is to rule out pregnancy as even after vasectomy , for a period of 3 months the sperms remain in the epididymis and can make you pregnant. untill and unless his 3 continuous sperm culture have been negative already.
still get an urine pregnancy home test done with a beta hcg kit. if negative then the option of opting for a withdrawal bleed can be considered with progestins like medroxyprogesterone acetate.
at our clinic we advise only after a pelvic ultrasound and after checking the endometrial thicknesss more than 5mm. we prefer MPA 10mg twice a day for 5 days. the bleeding should resume with in 7-10 days of the ;last dosage.

in either case an ultrasound is helpful.
also with ongoing pains already, you may be in premenstrual syndrome phase and you may get your periods naturally in next few days.

so best is do a preg test and if negative nad period dont resume in next 3-4 days , opt for withdrawal bleed.
