What Causes Delayed Periods While On Primi 3590 Tablet?

Hello doctor, My age is 28.. we are trying for a second baby..My periods cycle is regular but sometimes it may postponed for 1 or 2 days. My last period start date is 6.7.2014.. This month i didnt get periods yet.. i took two home pregnancy test.. but both are negative.. (As my doctor advice i m taking primi3590 tablets from last month)

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us. Your doctor has prescribed mineral supplements. A slight delay in the menstrual cycle is not a big issue in conception. Home pregnancy tests should be done 3-7 days after a missed period to read well and with a fresh early morning sample of urine. If you did not do so, you can repeat the test. Else, you can go for the blood test for pregnancy which is more specific and sensitive. A trans-vaginal sonogram can also be done a week after the missed period to clarify the situation.
