Hi. I was on birth control for about 3 years. I came off of it about a month ago. I hadn t had a period & I was feeling nausea every night or early morning. I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative. About 2 weeks later I still have not had a period (so it s been a month now) and now my nipples are tender & I don t have the same appetite like I used to. Could I have tested took early & still possibly be pregnant?
Thanks for writing to us. The chances of pregnancy have always been there with unprotected sex, so as you are no more on pills and if you are sexually active the chances of pregnancy have always been there. Period can be delayed due to pills also. So if test results are negative than chances of pregnancy are less but you can repeat your test or you can go for blood test for more confirmation. Hope it is useful, please feel free to discuss more. Good luck. Regards Dr.Richa
