What Causes Delayed Periods With Spotting?

Hi One day before my period due date I had very minimal amount of spotting lasting on and off for about 4 days, stopped, came back next day but then was brown. This reminded me of my first pregnancy implantation bleeding but all preg tests I have taken are negative. It is now 1 week 1 day past period due date. My instincts strongly tell me I m pregnant I ve also had lower back aches and I just feel different. Is there any reason home pregnancy tests would be negative still?

Hi,
thanks for posting your query. If the amoumt of beta hcg is too low (pregnancy hormone) then home pregnancy tests will be negative. Next test will be to check beta hcg levels in the blood. but to confirm pregnancy usg needs to be done. Kindly see your OBGYN for further assisstance.
