I m 36. I have missed my periods, they were due on 17th April. I have checked with pregnancy kit three times n I m not pregnant. I have consulted one gynaecologist n she prescribed me norgest and B- long for a week. I have already taken it but my periods have not started yet. On 2nd April I got sprain in my lower back...I took rest for 25 days n had physiotherapy also. Plz advise me what to do now. I have never missed my periods before. No miscarriage, no abortion. I have two kids, one is 7 and one is 4. My hb is 11.9. Regards
Norgest tablet contains Norethisterone as an active ingredient. It is used to induce the menses in case of delayed menses in non-pregnant state. These tablets are to be taken for 5-7 days. After discontinuing them, within 4-7 days, you will get the withdrawal bleeding. If your menses are irregular, you may start the pills from the day 5 of the bleeding for 21 days. Again you will get withdrawal bleeding within 4-7 days. You may take such treatment for 3 cycles.
B Long Tablet contains Pyridoxine as an active ingredient. It is not a specific medicine for regularising the menses.
It seems, you are quite stressed due to delayed period. This stress is causing you sprains and aches for which you have already taken the treatment and physiotherapy. Relax; lest further delay in menses. Since your pregnancy tests are negative, you are not pregnant. You will get menses after discontinuing Norgest pills.
I hope this helps you now.
