What Causes Dents In The Nails While Suffering From Pompholyx?

I was told I have pomphlyx over 2 years ago on my hands. But in the past 6 month it has gotten considerably worse and my nails have stared to be affected. 3 of my finger nails the cuticle has receeded and 2 of my nails have lots of little indents in them.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Pompholyx (dyshidrotic eczema) is a type of eczema that causes tiny blisters to develop across the fingers, palms of the hands and sometimes the soles of the feet. If there is severe pompholyx near the fingernails or toenails then the nails may have ridges, or there may be swelling at the base of the nail (called paronychia). Nail pits, can sometimes occur without any cause. Psoriasis, fever, eczema may cause dents. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
