What Causes Development Of Complex Lesion In Right Lobe Of Thyroid?
my thyroid ultrasound showed my right lobe measures 5.1 X 2.0 X 2. my left lobe measures 4.8 X 1.5 X 1.5 in my right lobe there is a complex lesion measuring 8 X 5 X 6 mm, a chest hyperechoic center and hypoechoic rim. In the left lobe there is subtle hypoechoic to isoechoic 8 X 5 X 8 mm Nodule which appears solid. Isthmus is around 3.7 mm thick. should I have a FNA done? I also have a high C reactive protein and a high sed rate on my blood work
Hi Dear your thyroid usg report seems to indicate that you have an area of altered echotexture in your thyroid gland in order to correctly diagnose the lesion i will suggest you to go for a usg guided thyroid FNAC (Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology) examination along with thyroid hormonal profile.
