Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
An MRI was performed on my 4 year old grandson, and a grey matter was shown. His doctor said it was nothing serious. The CT Scan and EKG came out normal. She said it would probably resolve as he gets older. He does have a delay. He is deaf in one ear, walks unsteadily and can t really talk that well. She gave us no name of this matter. Should I be worried?
Hello dear, Welcome to HCM. Developmental delay can have many different causes, such as genetic causes (like Alport"s Syndrome), or complications of pregnancy and birth (like prematurity or infections). Often, however, the specific cause is unknown. Some causes can be easily reversed if caught early enough, such as hearing loss from chronic ear infections. I suggest -Consult your baby at genetic, neurologist. -Give B complex with lysin 5ml once a day for 1month and nootropil for 1 month Kind regards Dr.Svetlana
