What Causes Diabetes?

Hello,My question is is that I went to a Medical clinic for an visit to get some ADAH meds I thought that I was seeing a Doctor the women that I was a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner she took blood and pee and came back and told me that I Diabetes after checking me pee,should I get and 2nd opin?

Hello there,
I do not know what blood tests were already done for you by the nurse practitioner. Yes it is likely that you have diabetes if your urine showed glucose but you definitely need to be examined thoroughly and advised particular blood tests like OGTT(oral glucose tolerance test) and HbA1c before diagnosing diabetes.
Diabetes cannot be diagnosed based on urine test alone. Urine can have sugar for a variety of reasons. Please visit a physician or a diabetologist who can guide you through the process.
