What Causes Diarrhea, Abdominal Pain, Fever And Nausea?

Two weeks ago I had watery diarrhea, stomach cramps, fever and chills, mild nausea and severe fatigue. I slept or lay in bed for several hours. The next day I seemed okay. I assumed it was minor food poisoning. Yesterday I had similar symptoms though not as severe--but lasting longer. Got any ideas?

Hi, thank you for posting.

I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.

Your symptoms are caused by a seasonal virus that has affected digestive system.
To relieve your symptoms you should follow these guidelines:
1. Avoid spicy and acidic foods.
2. Do not drink alcoholic or carbonated drinks, coffee and milk.
3. Take ORS to get rehydrated.

To find what kind of antibiotic is necessary you need an antibiogram.

All the best.
Dr. Behar.
