Hi, I had diarrhea earlier today. I went to the bathroom later to pee and I noticed light red on the toilet paper. I don't know if it's normal or what it is. I don't think it's my period because I usually get it at the end of the month so I don't know.
I can understand your concern. It seems that you are having a mild attack of Urinary Tract Infection. Diarrhea along with blood in urine can be observed in UTI.
You should take Levofloxacin 250 mg (Levoflox) twice a day for five days. You can take an antacid to control abdominal upset due to antibiotics. By the time you finish this antibiotic course, the diarrhea and blood in urine should resolve. Drink lots of fluids.
If it does not, you should visit a physician for physical examination and blood test along with urine culture.
I hope this information helps. Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic. Take care.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
