Dx w ulcerative colitis since 2000 w few flares of mouth ulcers and joint swelling ( I am aware that this is more indicative od Chrohns) In May started having diarrhea yellow in color immediately after eating ( within 10-15 minute) colonoscopy negative , previously showed microscopic colitis . Ultrasound of gallbladder ,Hida scan and .CT of abdomen with and without po and IV contrast negative . Still having diarrhea , abdominal pain. Ejection fraction of HIDA scan was 99% . Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of chronic diarrhea and almost all the investigations being normal except microscopic colitis and ejection fraction of HIDA scan at 99%. I would advise you the following in such a situation. Since all the investigations are within normal limits this can be due to IBS meaning irritable bowel syndrome. Consult a Gastroenterologist and get started on the basis of IBS and you may get well. Keep a track of the foods and beverages and the factors that instigate or enhance your problems and stop them altogether. No stress and/or anxiety as these too increase your problem. Change of lifestyle helps a lot. See the difference after these changes and continue if these work well for you.
