You are most likely suffering from inflammatory bowel disease -- ulcerative proctosigmoiditis. You can continue the medicines as prescribed to you. In addition, you may benefit from mesacol enema at bedtime and entofoam enema in morning. This has local effect and will help bring the inflammation under control and help reduce your symptoms of bowel frequency and bleeding.
