What Causes Diarrhea And Blood In Stool While Having Clostridium Difficile?
I have been tested positive for C.Diff. I have continuous diarrhea, and today have blood in the watery stool, is this something I need to go to an E.R. for, or wait for my prescription to be approved by Medicare, which can take days? My C.diff was diagnosed in Nov. 2010

Hello,
Clostridium difficile infection itself causes pain abdomen and bloody diarrhea because it produces toxins A and toxin B that causes pseudo membrane formation of mucous and blood in stools.
You can take capsule Clindamycin twice a day for five days. Use tablet Sporulac thrice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
