What Causes Diarrhea And Cramps In The Stomach?

Hello. I had a baby november 4, and a couple weeks later, when i would wake up at night to feed him, my stomach would cramp about 2 inches above my belly button. that went on for a few weeks and now it hurts pretty much all the time. for the past week, i have had diarrhea.

Hello,

Diarrhea with pain in the upper abdomen can most probably be due to either colitis or gastritis. I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Take a PPI like Omeprazole.
Antacids.
See the results. If no relief then sends stool and blood for tests.
If there is evidence of infection, then you need a prescription based breastfeeding safe antibiotic, antispasmodic and symptomatic treatment. Avoid the foods and beverages that instigate or enhance the problems. Take plenty of oral fluids.
