Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Her symptoms could be related to an infection or drugs adverse effects. For this reason, I would recommend consulting with her attending physician for a physical exam and some tests to investigate for the possible causes:
- Complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation
- A stool analysis
- A resting ECG
- Kidney and liver function tests
- Blood electrolytes for possible imbalances.
In the meantime, I would recommend avoiding taking blood pressure medicines and consume plenty of fluids and rehydrating solutions (electrolytes) in order to avoid dehydration or any electrolyte imbalances, which may be life threatening.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Iliri
