What Causes Diarrhea And Fatigue While On Arimidex?

My sister is 79, has an afib heart condition and on blood thinner, also on cancer drug arimidex and has Contracted C-diff. She is on an antibiotic and has had runny bowels for almost three weeks. She is very Weak and lives alone. She was told not to let her adult children in as it is very contagious. I am very worried about her. Should she see an infectious disease doctor for this condition?

I understood your health concerns and feel Concerned about them.

Based on the facts of your query, your girl friend seem to suffer from-
Drug induced Diarrhea from Arimidex,as its very common.
Besides this your sister has contracted Cl-Difficile.
For this you need to be on Yogurt diet and Sporlac DS caps to replace Cl.Diff. by its probiotic effect replacing harmful Cl.Diffi with helpful bacteria.
Cancer with reduced immunity could lead to Cl.diffi in your sisters case.
Remedy would be-
Plenty of fluids / Vancomycin or Metronidazole antibiotic course / or meropenem(5 th generation cephalosporins) to control cl.diffi / Tab Zicovit to recoup fast -would be needed to fast recover from this condition.
