What Causes Diarrhea And Headache After An Increased In Zoloft Dosage?

My daughter has been ill and the doctor gave her a Rocephin shot on Feb. 8th. The doctor also increased her Zoloft from 50mg to 100mg. She is complaining of tiredness, sore throat (lower throat pain), diarrhoea, and dizziness. I m concerned about drug interactions or a possible side effect. Not sure how to treat.

Hello,

Welcome and thanks for your query.
There is no adverse interaction between Zoloft and Rocephin.
The symptoms can be due to the higher dose of Zoloft and the side effects due to the same.
If her depression is under control, the dose may be reduced to 50 mgs or she may be put on other medicines if she is still depressed.
Do get back to me if you have further queries.
I find this answer helpful
