What Causes Diarrhea, Fever And Red Spots On Face Of A Kid?

hi, is a pediatrician online? my son has had diarrhea for a couple of days now and his dr says it is a stomach virus and we just have to keep him hydrated and off any lactose. he has a slight fever today and what looks like red spots showing up on his face. wanted to know what this could be due to?

HI all the symptoms you elucidated are due to viral infection as explained by your doctor. Please keep your child hydrated with ORS fluids,zinc syrup and give him only rice based diet and symptomatic treatment for fever.If he is dull and not tolerating feeds, TAKE him to an ER
