What Causes Diarrhea, Stomach Pain, Weak And Swollen Ankles?
76yr old male with Parkinson s pancreas trouble in past Bad stomach ache for 3Rd day now. First day pooped 6times second day 3 times. Third day 3times has stomach pain now plus having off episode of Parkinson s. Weak and both ankles and feet are swollen. Also peeing constantly day and night
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of being 76, known Parkinson's and has bad stomach with loose stools for three days followed by increase in Parkinson's symptoms, weakness, swelling in ankles and feet. This looks to be due to Enteritis. This has caused the fluid and electrolyte imbalance causing further problems of increase in symptoms of Parkinson's and edema of the feel and ankles. I would advise you the following: Stool tests Blood electrolytes and routine Ultrasonography of the abdomen. This will give you the probable diagnosis and needs treatment as per the reports which may be in the form of intravenous fluids, antibiotics and symptomatic treatment.
