What Causes Diarrhea When On Duphaston?

Hello, I have seven weeks pregnency. My doctor have prescribed Duphaston 3 times a day. I have case histroy of irregular periods and PCOS. I have a baby. After taking Duphaston 3 times a day, I have started loose motion. Is it due to Dupshaston or any other reason? Regards tanuja

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion the loose motions might not be due to duphaston.A few experience constipation with it.So the motions might be due to stomach infection.Avoid spicy and oily diet.Take bland diet.Take adequate fluids upto 3 litres and electrol powder to prevent dehydration.Also sporolac might be useful.If still does not subside then consult doctor.
