Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been taking verapamil for years for a-fib, also I take .06mg of colchicine for gout prevention. I take both these in the evening before bedtime. Lately I have several bouts of diarrhea. Is there an interaction here? I also take allopurinal and eliiquis. Also in evening at bedtime.
Verapamil tend to cause constipation rather then diarrhea. I think the diarrhea might be from the colchicine as that is a very common side-effect of this medication and stops if you stop the medication. You might have to stop this and see if the diarrhea resolves. You already have allopurinol for gout prevention.
Kind Regards
