What Causes Diarrhea With Right Sided Pain From Rib Cage To Leg?
Yesterday and today I have been having yellow diarrhea. It made me almost immobile yesterday, a little better today. But today I have also been having pain on my right side. This morning on the lower part going into my leg but most recently under my rib cage. I had my gall bladder removed about 4 years ago. Is this anything to be worried about?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of yellow diarrhea for 2 days, made you immobile, pain on right side of the abdomen, referred to the right leg and almost to the rib cage too. Gall bladder was removed 4 years ago. This is definitely to be worried about as diarrhea with such a pain can be indicative of an inflammatory pathology and you need the following ASAP. CT scan of the abdomen. Tests of blood and stool. Admission to the hospital to maintain hydration and electrolyte balance. Antibiotic therapy as per the indication of the reports.
