What Causes Diarrhea With Tender/red Anus In A Kid?

Hey there. I don't know if this instant messaging works, but I'll give it a go. I went to change my son (15 mo.) before bed, and he had really bad soaking wet diarrhea, and it's very tender and red around his anus. This came on all of a sudden. Ideas?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, two possibilities are there if this is the red area around the anus first it could be dermatitis due to bacterial infection and that is causes the diarrhea too, second it could be acidic contained in stool, in my opinion both the condition can be managed together with oral antibiotic and local soothing skin agent it is not the serious condition and can be managed easily without any complication some time it comes around on its own without medications, hope this information helps.
