Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I currently have two stents. I had an angiogram performed on Friday because I am having great difficulty breathing. I had a different doctor that I had not met. He gave two stress tests which were extremely painful and I had not had that test in the two previous angiograms. He said I have three blockages close to the heart but that they were only 50 to 60 percent blocked so a stent would not be beneficial. I have very labored breathing walking even a short distance. I am wondering if I should seek a second opinion. The nurses in the OR seemed shocked that nothing was done. Thank you.
HI Well come to HCM If this is less that 60 per cent block then this does not need any angioplasty but it is better to change the life style this would give better results, and for that you need to consult cardiac rehabilitation center, dietician, physiotherapist, hope this information helps, have a nice day.
