What Causes Difficulty In Chewing And Swallowing Food In A TBI Patient?
my friends husband is in a nursing home, 74 year old suffering from a severe TBI two years ago. He has recently started pocketing food in his mouth. He is not chewing and swallowing as he should be. The nursing home is not that concerned......what can it be from? a possible stroke?

His symptoms could be related dementia or to a stroke. For this reason, I would recommend consulting with a neurologist for a careful physical exam and some cognitive tests.
A brain MRI would help investigate for any brain lesions.
