What Causes Difficulty In Controlling The Bladder?

I am a 19 year old girl, and I can not stop going to the bathroom, when it feels like I have to pee if I dont get to the bathroom fast I feel like I will pee in my pants. Some times its only a dribble and other times it burns. I also get abnormal stomach pains.

Hello,

All your symptoms are indicating possible urinary tract infection or passing stones.

I advise running first a home urine dipstick test. If positive should consult with your caring doctor as soon as possible as the need to start prescription antibiotic treatment.

For the moment I can only advise to:
- increase fluids intake
- take cranberry supplement to restore urine pH in order to relieve the pain.
- take paracetamol or spasmex for the pain

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
