Dear doctor, due to irregular menses, I've been taking duphaston 10mg twice a day since day 5 of my menstrual cycle until day 25. I've started to use ovulation strip to test whether I ovulate or not since day 14. Today is day 21, the ovulation test result still shows negative. Is it because of the medication that I'm taking resists ovulating?
The ovulation kit may not prove to be very helpful until we regularise your menstrual cycle. So please do not worry about ovulation for now, just concentrate on taking your pills on time and continue to do as your doctor says.
Once your menstrual cycle is more regular, your doctor will himself/herself change your treatment regimen to a fertility regimen. Do not worry about it ma'am. This does not mean that you cannot try to conceive, so please do not discontinue.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
