What Causes Difficulty In Getting Up And Walking When Suffering From Arthritis?
My father is 78 good health except for a very bad back .discs are fused from arthritis most of spine. He manages his pain with pain specialist . early Saturday He woke up and could Not walk without assistance to bathroom. Gaitcwas staggered. He went to BR..could not get up. Was very confused. He could understand your words but could not answer with words. Just like walking..we said let s stand he did..but he was not able to move legs. 911 called...at ER..CT DONE. No stroke..but did have 102.3 temp..02 sats 93%.. No UTI..DX left sided pneumonia..admitted started on IV levaquin..by end of Saturday acting like self .. Neurogy does not think TIA was put on heparin..continue with ABT.IV Dcd..BUN/ Creatinine. Normal range. LIFts normal...WBC elevated H&H normal This am discussed going home on Monday but will do MRI. To confirm no TIA deficits resolved..feeLS ABT AND IVS. Resolved symptoms By midday..had gross hematuria...by 3pm gross hematuria continues...now temp 100.3.. Start IV gent..and zythromyacin... 7pm..vomited. Temp 101 2...no hematuria..but abdomen slightly distended PT PTT INR..stated low side of normal . Besides getting urology consult tomorrow. .what else should be looked into.. should cancer of kidneys and or lung be a concern..he was a diesel mechanic his entire life..back in the day..those brakes were asbestos..he was a smoker 50 odd years ago.. Has not smoked since before I was born I am 52 Before Saturday...not even sick..no cold symptoms nothing. Flu test negative. PSAs have all been normal.
