What Causes Difficulty In Passing Stool?

I have been unable to go to the toilet lately and struggling to let it out, I probably go once every 4 days-and only a little would come out, I used to go regularly. But I release farts instead which have a strong odour...what does this mean? Has it got to do with my digestive system?

hi.

noted history of constipation. aside from this, are you experiencing any other sign or symptom like decrease in caliber of stools, weight loss or abdominal pain? it is possible that you have a functional constipation, but other things (such as obstructing lesions, motility problems) must also be ruled-out. it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably a gastroenterologist, for physical examination and clinical evaluation. diagnostics and management will be directed accordingly. increase oral fluid intake and high fiber diet is also recommended.

hope this helps.

good day!!
