ENT Specialist 's  Response
The Adams apple is a hard structure so difficult to just push it in. There's probably some skin swelling over it which makes it impossible to see the prominence.
There's likely to be some swelling in the airway which makes it hard to breathe, speak or swallow. Take some steam inhalations, do not strain your voice and eat soft, bland food for 2-3 days.
However, if there is increasing difficulty in breathing it is best to see an ENT specialist right away. Good luck!
