My father ,age 79, is finding difficulty in swallowing the food. After few intakes, he is forced to remove it and it is in the form of thick bulgum. The local doctor has suggested endoscopy but I don't think he will be able to handle it. What is the remedy?
If your father have any alarming symptoms in the form of weight loss, new excessive skin pigmentation, black stools, night sweats etc then further workup is warranted to establish the cause. Meanwhile symptoms can be partly overcome by consuming liquid and semi solid diet taken in small frequent portions.
