Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You are having laryngopharyngeal reflux. In this reflux problem there is reflux of acid from stomach to back of the oral cavity. This causes a feeling of difficulty in swallowing during sleep. My advice will be that you should go to sleep after 2 hours of taking food. Take more than one pillows below head during sleep. Take Pantoprazole tablet. You can consult an ENT surgeon and undergo an fiber-optic laryngoscopy to know the exact problem.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
