Hi my name is sarah, my great grandfather is 93 years old and is on hospice, my family members that are the closes to him try to talk and have a conversation with him but he hardley never anwsers us, helooks as if he hears us but dont understand. What mite this be?

Sometimes when patients are dying they begin to shut down and withdraw from the world. It is great to keep talking to him and letting him know that you are there and that you care for him, but do not be surprised if he does not answer questions.
