What Causes Difficulty In Walking After Cervical Epidural Injection?

I recently had a cervical epidural between my 6 & 7 vertibrea for help with headaches and pain in my arms and neck. I didn t know i had an adversion to steroids and since the shot 10 days ago i have become crippled. i cannot walk without the aid of a cane or help from another person. My whole body from the neck to my ankles feels as if my body is being crushed. i am loosing grip strength in my hands and my arms cannot hold any weight. i ve had to cut my hair off because the weight of it wet felt like my neck was breaking. My doctor cannot explain what happened or how to stop it. can you offer any advice?

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. I think you should discuss with your treating Doctor the possibility of Arachnoiditis after epidural injection of steroids. It happens with accidental intrathecal injection ( a rare complication of the procedure). Treatment is symptomatic and very difficult. Hope this answers your question.
