What Causes Difficulty In Walking?

My wife was in the hospital for 7 days, she went in due to asthma symptoms ( Shortness of breath and a tight chest), she was told that she has a vocal cord problem, and is also taking Xanex for stress. She did not get out of the hospital bed for 7 days, her legs feel like jelly, now 1 week of being home she can only walk with the use of a walker. What is the problem?

Hi
I appreciate your concern
i would like further details to help you better
is she experiencing any pain in legs
if she had any such problem before hospitalisation
Looking at her history it seems to be a case of DVT deep vein thrombosis that can be developed very easily due to immobilisation
please take her to the doctor for further examination and a colour doppler for confirmation of diagnosis
don't make her to exert much
Hope this helps you
take care
