What Causes Dirt In Vaginal Area While On Antibiotics?

Hello. I've been sick and taking different meds one being antibiotics. When I wipe myself, it looks as if there is dirt on the tissue. When I looked at my vaginal area it looked likely it was caked with dirt. It wasn't like that before the meds. What could be wrong?

Hello thanks for asking from HCM

You are on antibiotics and have developed dirt on vaginal area. Antibiotics are used to contain infection of bacteria. But when they act they also disrupt beneficial commensal bacterias present on our tissues. This result in change in ph of affected tissues and they may develop opportunistic infections like candida. The dirt on your tissue is probably due to candidal flare up. There is no reason to fear.

-Try to have curd or probiotic milk in your diet.

-Take Vitamin B12 supplements.

-You can take lactobacillus sachet to reduce the infection.

-Try to avoid using strong soaps on affected part, keep it dry and wash with water only.

Thanks, hope this helps you.
