At night I when I am sleeping I get discharge from my ears. In the morning my ears are often blocked because of it. During the day the discharge hardens and becomes a very hard crust. I have occasional swelling but no pain and minimal itchiness. Any ideas what it might be or how I can treat ?
Ear discharge, also known as otorrhea, is any fluid that comes from the ear. Most of the time, your ears discharge earwax. This is an oil that your body naturally produces. I suggest using antibiotics to treat ear fluid. The combination of a decongestant and an antihistamine can help reduce congestion. I also suggest using an antihistamine such as Cetirizine.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
