If it is felt that your daughter needs to be put to sleep to investigate her recurrent discharge, the best and the safest physician to examine her is a pediatric gynecologist. This is a new subspeciality, so there are not many of such doctors available. The most likely place to find them would be at a children s hospital. Also, I recently read about the importance of having more than one staff person trained in pediatric resuscitation and anesthesia administration in the procedure room.
