Dear Doctor: I have a son, he is 6 years old now, when he was born, he had one little hole on each top of his ear where the rim starts, there are discharge from the hole when squeezed it, the discharge smells. When squeeze them I can feel there are some kind of tube thing connected to the ear. I would like to know what is that, how to get rid of it? Thanks for your advice. ^_^
As an ENT specialist, I suspect a congenital condition called per auricular sinus. It is a developmental anomaly which can get infected if left untreated. As it is present on both ears, I would recommend you to visit your doctor and get your sons whole body examined to rule out other congenital condition.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
