I bruised both of my big toe nails on July 11 while wearing hiking boots. One nail is black and the other one is blackish/brownish which seems to be the more injured one compared to the other. Neither one really hurts now and wearing shoes is no problem at all. I noticed that the worse one was oozing bloody/clear serum with no smell a couple of weeks ago, but not everyday. Today it started oozing a small amount of brownish serum with an odor to it. It still doesn t hurt at all. I did have some redness around the toenail area but that has gone away. I ve had some peeling of the skin around the toenail. All I ve done so far is spray the bad toenail with Vetericyn wound and skin care spray. Should I worry since the serum now has odor but the toe doesn t hurt?
