What Causes Discomfort And Tenderness In Temple Area?

I am 51 years-old, female, weight 56 kgs, height 157 cms. Since a month or so and on and off, there is discomfort and tenderness, near my left temple. On touching, the area seems soft and today, and today for the first time, I felt a throb in the ear also. I haven t taken any medication so far, thinking it s something not worrisome but today, the throb perhaps indicates that there is a problem. The discomfort is there almost all the time and I have the urge to touch and feel the temple area. Is it anything serious? Kindly advise. Thanks!

Neurologist 's  Response
Dear
I am sorry for the symptoms you are suffering
I read your query and understand your concern
It seems you are suffering from tensive headache
I think you will dominate pain if you start the right treatment
In my opinion a combination of daily treatment (amitryptiline) and NSAID (ibuprofen) for some days will really help you
You should avoid caffein abuse, avoid amethyst drinks and don't miss meals
I don't think you have reason to worry too much, tensive headache is fully treatable
Hope my answer will help you
Stay healthy
Best regards
