What Causes Discomfort Around My Chest And Throat?
i often feel discomfort around my chest and throat. when i burp i get relief but sometimes i bring up food. it seems as though when i eat my food is not going straight down rather just sitting in my chest area. this also at times makes it hard to breathe and my heart rate does go up a bit say to about 88 bpm. normally sits around 60-70 bpm. doctors think it may be anxiety but i am a little worried
The symptoms seem to be related to gastroesophageal reflux disease. I suggest using an antacid such as Maalox three times a day. I also suggest to use a gastro protector such as Omeprazole 20 mg in the morning before breakfast. I recommend to avoid food that can trigger the symptoms such spicy food or caffeine.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
