Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have suddenly developed a discomfort below the waist, midline. I would describe it as mild, but I have never felt this before. Urine is clear, no trouble urinating. Feels a little like gas in the sygmoid area perhaps? I have made an appointment with my Doctor for Friday. My hands were numb and tingly from about 6:30PM to 8:00PM, but as iwarm up in my house this has gotten better. The tempurature outside is 55F, so the numbness would be unusual for me. I have no fever.
Hi, Abdominal discomfort or pain could be due to acute gastroenteritis, diverticulitis or colitis etc. You must undergo routine blood count, electrolytes with clinical examination of abdomen or ultrasound of abdomen. Treatment is mainly depend on the underlying cause. You might require antibiotics(quinolones or cephalosporins or antiprotozoals etc.) with antispasmodics and antiinflammatories with prebiotics and probiotics. You must consult gastro physician for further treatment.
