What Causes Discomfort During Your Bowel Movements?
Hello, for several months at least once or twice a month I have a problem with my bowel movements. I go at least everyday and I do not empty in one sitting it s usually through out the day and on bad days my anus begins to become swollen it burns and i have to strain extremely hard to relieve my self. Sometimes I have such an uncomfortable feeling i manually engage in taking out the impacted bowel. This is taking me away from work, family and my everyday life it seems to be getting worse and I am in some need of answers.
Here, chances of IBD is less as you do not have any symptoms of pain, burning of stomach but it must be ruled out by upper GI endoscopy.
Treatment is mainly based on the underlying cause and symptomatic like antibiotics (ofloxacin with ornidazole),antiinflammatory or probiotics or laxatives.
You should undergo routine blood, stool investigations with ultrasound of abdomen and upper GI scopy as suggested above.
