What Causes Discomfort In Chest When Suffering From Diabetes?

I'm a hispanic male,49 yrs old who will turn 50 in december. I'm type 2 diabetic with high blood pressure. Last week i had a EKG and yesterday a Nuclear Stress test and both were normal.I don't have headches or chest pain but a slight jolt on left side of chest, kinda under the underarm. I do have a history of back issues(pinched nerve, muscle spasms, etc). With EKG/Stress test normal, should i be concerned it's heart related?

Hi welcome to HCM
I understand your concern.Your symptoms are not related to heart since all your reports are normal.Spasms in your case could be due to Diabetic neuropathy. You should keep your diabetes under control.Continue your present medication without fail.Drugs like Gabapentin will relieve your symptoms.Monitor blood sugars regularly.Hb1c will help to assess the blood glucose control over a time period.consult endocrinologist and neurologist for expert management.Post your further queries,if any.
Thank you
