What Causes Discomfort In Groin Area?

I am having some discomfort in what I call maybe the groin area, but it could also be ovaries. I am not sure if I pulled something. It also hurts down into my leg. I had a pain during the night, but once I took an alieve the pain went away. It is back, but I will take another soon. Could this be a pulled muscle?
