What Causes Discomfort In Left Side Of Abdomen?

I have a stitch like clench on my left-hand side on my wasit, slightly towards the back that comes and goes. If I press on it nothing hurts, if I rub it, it goes away. It doesn t feel deep. I have an adhesion on my other side from a gall bladder operation and sometimes this stitch stings a bit like that. Thanks

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The current narrated location sounds to be renal angle and the pain. It sounds to be related to gravels or calculus in the urinary system. An ultrasound is best recommended for evaluation of the underlying cause and further management in accordance to that only.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
