Noted the history that your have slight compression of the spinal cord in the neck region, also noted that you have discomfort in the neck or throat area, it looks you are not really sure about the exact area.
You have no pain, just discomfort.

Spinal cord compression causes too much of a pain, hence may not be the reason.
- Food pipe problem would have caused you painful swallowing, it looks you do not have this problem as you have not mentioned.
- Hence this looks to be just a spasm of the neck muscles.
Apply local Rubrafacient creams which increase local temperature, take tablets like
Ibuprofen if suits you after food thrice daily and you may be fine.
If no relief, you then have obviously have to consult your Doctor for clinical evaluation, examination and investigations to get a proper diagnosis and plan for a proper treatment.
