What Causes Discomfort In Pelvic Area When Suffering From Ovarian Cyst?
I had a 43mm/39mm cyst seen in my right ovary about 3 mths ago and was told to come back for another check. I have gone back for the check and was told that cyst had gone but that my ovaries were now bulky at about 110mm length. They said every other thing looks okay & no mass, excluding hormonal imbalance.I still have discomforts on & off in pelvic area, especially on the right. What could be the problem?
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. The ovarian cyst was the simple cyst which has resolved over time. However, bulky ovaries are present in pelvic infection and pelvic inflammatory disease. This can cause pain in the lower abdomen. I will suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined internally, get a vaginal swab examination done to rule out any infection and get appropriate treatment timely. Hope you found the answer helpful. Regards Dr Deepti Verma OBGYN
